Conference on Financial Reporting Transparency and Cost of Capital in Kosovo
Sound, reliable financial information is fundamental for moving away from the collateral-based lending model, toward cash-flow lending or credit-scoring, both of which depend on the lenders’ ability to obtain transparent and accurate financial data. Thequality of accounting and auditing practices in an economy like Kosovo is important for both the private and public sectors, in that both play an important role in driving the country’s growth. Our aim at the conference is to discuss on the ways on how the transparency can be improved in Kosovo and what is the current is situation in terms of quality assurance for the audit profession.
